my pick of the day.

Since I've got the possibility to buy Sandro here in Berlin at the "KaDeWe" I'm a big fan of this label 'cause they're producing their pieces in  a mix of clean and hyper-eccentric and chic. What I found on the Internet is this stunning dress. It's my favourite pick of the day. Enjoy! And say what you think about....

voyage back to 50ties.

Summer didn't begin yet but I'm already admiring all the beautiful things for fall this year.
Especially the collection of Louis Vuitton attracts and catches my unseperated attraction. Marc Jacob formed a very old-schooled and feminine shape  and the clothes hardly remind me of the classic 50ties. He designed wonderful long and flowing skirts with a high waist decorated with sweet bows and small belts, artful silk blouses, classic wool-coats and sexy corsets, all combined with really classy pumps.
Marc worked all in all with quiet colours so that the woman come to the fore by herself.
Only acessoires: wonderful breasts!

space to stand on.

Some days ago I told you about the spring favourites of shoes; we have had plateaus, stilettos and midi-heels.
But in the next season old stuff is coming back again to fashion and we can forget about shoes we cannot walk in! Our new hypes in fall and winter will be thick heels with an endless high as seen for example on Alexander Wang. The good thing is, there will be no more fear about walking in designer shoes! And I believe that are amazing news to all the fashionistas who weren't born on heels ;-)

germans do the best.

One of Germanys most wonderful fashion photographers is momentarly Kristian Schuller. He was student of the famous photographer F.C. Gundlach, one of the very first persons who established fashion photography.

F.C. Gundlach:

Inspiration you can find here at F.C. Gundlach.

Schuller now already works for many years in the fashion- and beautyindustry.
This year he's member of Heid Klums jury for Germanys next topmodel and, honestly, I am really spectical about that 'cause I think this show is just fake and mistreats all the young girls. But I don't wanna judge 'cause I've seen none of the shows this season.
So here's Schuller personally position....

Was brachte den Umschwung?
You can find the interview on vogue.de. Unfortunately it's just in German.
And finally here are some of Schuller's photos...

hungry?! ;-)

spring nails.

Because spring is coming we need some wonderful colours for our nails.
On the runways they've shown several nailpolish but the one I really love is orange-yellow. It looks like the wonderful sun which is shining time by time now and makes me soo happy :-)
With these amazing colours the sun can now also shine from nails ( and lips, eyes...I wanna experiment a bit from now on; maybe some make-up's will look great for clubbing...)

Chiara from The Blonde Salad is also already wearing this stunning colour !

it's all about Miroslava Duma.

I honestly do not have so many famous girls I am modelled on. But in the last few times I've always seen Miroslava Duma's looks at the fashion weeks all over the world and I fell in love with her style.
Miroslava is a russian Fashion Editor - so she knows exactly -everything about fashion -.
But moreover I think she's pretty making her own thing and her outfits are always unique and fresh. I think she brings some fresh air to the fashion's world and she fascinates us all momentarly and really causes a sensation.
I have to admit that I am absolutely looking up at her!

for all fashionistas.

I discovered an amazing site, and this is a great source for news, information and inspiration for all of you who love fashion. It's Chanel's newspaper on the Internet and Mister Kaiser Karl himself posts for us. I think that's pretty cool !!! Every important designer should have such an inspiring blog.

It should be a matter of course just to take a look ... www.chanel-news.com

what do you think about this look?

April, 08, 2010 // "7th Annual New Yorkers for Children" Spring Dinner...

and my lovely style-ambitious girl Olivia Palermo wears this dress from Ports 1961 // Spring Collection.
You know what? I cannot say any word to this... for the very first time I am speechless!
What do you think?

shoppingtip

What I love about my city is that we've got here a huge number of little small shops with fantastic selections.
And the one which sells the most beautiful shoes is Sanctum. Recently the german Glamour made a report about Sanctum and ladies, this is my most important recomment to you. So if you will be sometime here in Berlin you should attend Sanctum! Here some inspirations...

Both shoes are from S/S Collection 2010. The first one is Gianmarco Lorenzi; the second one LaRare.

gotta new flat.

Some weeks ago I moved throw this little and sweet appartment and now every single acessoire has its place and all decorations are finished. I'm quite happy yet cause I got now a lot more time to relax and jsut enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in my flat.
Still I have to renovate a bit but momentarly I got no envy so I just took some sweet pictures....

The other side of the picture.

I'm really into reading and I'm just obsessed about books. And 'cause I'm also so obsessed about fashion, what could be better for me then a book about fashion? Thats the reason why I just discovered this fantastic new book by Olivier Theyskens who's a great and established fashion designer. He worked together with Julien Claessens who's an awesome photographer and the result is hardly breathtaking because they show the other side of fashion industry. All pics are taken behind the runways and they show all these turbulences and furthermore how the models behave normally behind all that glamour on stage. I think the book tells exactly that fashion is a real thing, and thats really great!

Here's what Amazon says about:

When he was twenty, Olivier Theyskens dropped out of design school to create his first collection. Within the next year, Women’s Wear Daily headlined his “Star Quality,” Harpers Bazaar christened him an “Instant Icon,” and The New York Times singled out his work in coverage of the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute, where it was already enshrined. That winter, Madonna wore Theyskens to the Oscars. In the decade since, he has lent his power to two international brands, “restoring the fortunes,” as Vogue put it, of the house of Rochas, and then moving on to Nina Ricci as artistic director. His work has appeared on the cover of French, British, and American Vogue worn by Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, among other stars. Even the most casually fashion conscious consumers know his name, his striking face, and his dark, soft, and often-flattering aesthetic. Now, for the first time in his whirlwind career, Theyskens has made time to look back over his work and to press it into a book for worldwide distribution.Olivier Theyskens will track his rise, catalog his oeuvre, and offer a beautiful showcase for the romantic, mysterious, sumptuous garments on its pages.

a tribute to hedi slimane

He's my most hyped photographer, there's nothing to say. Pictures say more than tousand words.

Whether Lara, Sasha, Natalia or Lindsay Hedi just makes the girls looking so tough and cool. II dont know how he's working that out, but every single time I'm seeing his photos I'm consistently overwhelmed.
